This was my last Carnaval when I had the honor to be the queen of my lovely @lapunticaaa.
My performance was called “Sal del closet coya vieja”, coming from Barranquilla, Colombia a city where women are still shamed for living openly their sexuality and have been denied pleasure, this performance was my way to connect with a different feminity, the one that hurts, of the perfect nails, high shoes and tight corsets, a femininity that is painful on the body and soul, the one of being perfect and act perfect.
The last Batalla de Flores, I did it on heels, people that know me knows that I never use them, I have respect for women that does this every day. As a said, the carnival is that opportunity to become whatever we want, and for me the last carnival I wanted to be LA REINA DEL CARNAVAL

Caldero Catering started as a conversation: ¿Por que no te traes un Calderón, para que la gente almuerce?
It wasn’t that hard to think that I was just doing lunch for the family, a bigger one, but for a team.
I grew up in my grandparent's house, where there was always lunch for everybody.
Thinking about cooking for a group of people and re-creating the menu’s that my household with make: rice with something, a guiso, a salad, some beans, and the juice ~off course~
Why shouldn’t I do the same, and deliver in the caldero? It was a great idea, who doesn’t love eating from el Caldero?
Now I want to talk about this specific day, the day that I was cooked for Alok, and I didn't know it until I arrived., They are the most relevant voice for this generation, I couldn't believe that they were the talent that day, I’ll cook the same for everybody, but that day I understood after their second plate, that this is something that I should offer, besides the word of mouth of friends.
New York is a magical place, and I’m more than happy to offer you the closest experience of being home having lunch, at least that's what I feel when cooking it; and you can share it with family members, friends or your team.
